Potassium is one of the minerals that helps make the blood alkaline to counteract acidity; as do magnesium, calcium and iron.
Furthermore, potassium is the mineral that helps balance sodium given the overconsumption of salt in our diet.
Active potassium is composed of potassium gluconate and citrate which have a lower elemental percentage than potassium salts.
16.6% effective for gluconate, 36% for citrate. This allows the body's cells to better assimilate and metabolize it.
It thus participates in maintaining the hydration rate of cells (homeostasis) and therefore in maintaining the acid/base balance that the body needs.
