This oil comes from Crete, it is sweet with a slight fruitiness. Cold-extracted olive oil is particularly rich in oleic acid-omega 9 (76%), a monounsaturated fatty acid. It contains little linoleic acid-omega 6 (8%) and has a very low content of linolenic acid-omega 3 (1%). Such a profile gives it a suitable omega 6/omega 3 balance equal to 8.
It is known to have beneficial effects on health. Reduces the level of bad cholesterol (LDL). Major role in the prevention of cardiovascular disease risk factors.
Use for raw seasoning and cooking.
