Pre-cooked fine steamed oat flakes are very practical and easy to use.
They are eaten for breakfast, added to soups, to the dough to make vegetable pancakes, cakes and breads. Add 1 tbsp of crushed hazelnuts to 2 tbsp of fine oat flakes, 1 tbsp of apples (dried, grated or diced), 1 pinch of salt. Cover with water, rice milk or soy milk, bring to the boil and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring from time to time, until you obtain a creamy consistency. Remove from heat, mix in 1 tbsp of honey or rice syrup.
